About Michelle Conques

Michelle Conques was born in Ohio.  Her father became aware that she had talent and took her with him to art classes at The Ohio State University when she was ten years old.  Her mother also encouraged her that same year by helping her to be recognized by a Walt Disney Studio talent hunt.  Because of her loving parents, her passion for art came to her at a very young age.

A continued interest led her to major in Fine Arts at The Ohio State University, Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee.  She also studied with Paul Zepelinsky, John Richardson, Charles Reid, David Lyle Millard, Emerson Burkhardt and Gus Baker.

There has been travel, adventure and awards in Michelle's journey as an artist, including the purchase of one of her paintings by the Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee for their permanent collection.  Her work may be seen at Gallery 600 Julia in New Orleans Louisiana, Circa 1857 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana  and Acadian Frame & Art in Baton Rouge Louisiana.

Michelle was awarded Artist of the Year 2014 by the Arts Council of Livingston Parish.
